We just got him this year - and my kids are 9, 9 and 7 - a little old to be harboring magical beliefs. But then again, I still believe ♥.
So we came home from school one day and there was a bag on our porch with the book (autographed!) inside. The kids immediately knew what it was from schoolmates. We read the book together - well Skylar read it to us, and as we grew eager to come up with a name for him, Zach commented, "He looks kinda creepy..." (Well, he does!)
Anyways the kids decided to name him Spencer, after the @JerryTrainor character on iCarly, one of our favorite shows. (yes, me included). It was funny how they came up with it - they were rattling off funny names that rhymed - Bocko, Socko - ("hey Socko is is Spencer's friend--- SPENCER!!!).
The first night he ended up on top of the refrigerator and Quinn's like, "Mom, tell the truth - did you touch him?" I said, "What?" like I was in a sleep daze still. "I don't know what you are talking about..."
Hubs has joined in the fun and last night (after going online to solve it), he put Spencer on the Rubik's Cube. They were so loud when they were telling me the amazing feats of Spencer this morning. It was more amazing that he could solve the rubik's cube than that he flew to the North Pole every night to tell Santa of their transgressions...it's almost more magical!! Well, it is, isn't it?? Perhaps we've bought at least a few more weeks of belief.
